Hychain.co.uk was founded by Dr Mi Tian and Dr Shuya Zhong, lecturers at the Department of Engineering, University of Exeter, UK. All the tools on hychain.co.uk were originated and designed by Dr Mi Tian and Dr Shuya Zhong. Hychain presents the collective works of Dr Mi Tian, Dr Shuya Zhong, Dr Jia Shao, and Muayad Al Ghassani.

Dr Mi Tian's research interests and expertise lie in the field of hydrogen energy, with a current focus on hydrogen storage media for low carbon combustion system and sustainable transportation.

Dr Shuya Zhong's research area is on applying mathematical modelling and optimisation methods to improve the operations efficiency and sustainability of logistics and supply chain systems. She is interested in logistics and supply chain decisions in renewables like offshore wind or hydrogen, and warehousing and transportation in B2B or B2C markets.

Dr Jia Shao's principal research interests are in the intersection of financial and actuarial mathematics: quantitative analysis of Insurance-Linked Securities (ILS), Extreme Value Theory (EVT) and heavy-tailed distributions, with an emphasis on pricing catastrophe risk (CAT) bonds, nuclear power linked securities and applications.

Muayad Al Ghassani applied the simulation modelling method to co-develop the hydrogen supply chain models under Mi and Shuya’s supervision during his study as a Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Exeter.

The website was developed by Jack Kirby, a Mechanical Engineering graduate from the University of Warwick.
